Physiotherapy can be extremely beneficial in a wide range of orthopaedic conditions which can be present from birth or occur during childhood.

Such conditions typically include:

  • Torticollis and Sternomastoid Tumour
  • Scoliosis
  • Sever’s disease
  • Osgood Schlatter disease
  • Perthes disease
  • Patella dislocation

The other category of conditions are those which occur as a result of injury including sprains and fractures.

Following assessment specific advise will be given including, where appropriate, rest, ice application, use of anti-inflammatories and pain relief, specific strengthening and stretching exercises, positioning, gait re-education, balance work and return to activity.
